Most restaurants serve ordinary chicken meat, and you should only be eating lean chicken meat. Ordinary chicken meat is fatty and should be avoided. Most restaurants don&#8217;t offer the choice between the two, and that is why you should stick with vegetarian restaurants.<br />

Avoid all types of salad dressings: Many give information on the types of different salad dressing: lite, non fat and low carbohydrate, and state that they don&#8217;t add to your weight loss problem. The Glycemic Load tells you more about the effect that food will have on your weight, ie whether or not it will cause you to put on weight.<br />

If we are to believe that the most effective way to lose weight and keep it off is to by stabalising your blood sugar and insulin response to food, then we need to pay attention to the ways to achieve this. Keeping the blood sugar balanced depends not only on what we eat but also when we eat it.<br />
<P><br />

Firstly we need to reduce the amount of carbohydrate in our diets. We also need choose foods/carbohydrates with a  low glycemic-load (GL), combine carbohydrates with protein and cut back on stimulants and stress.<br />

To lose weight on this diet it is important to make sure that you eat no more than 40 GL a day and at main meals you should eat low GL carbohydrates with protein rich foods.<br />
<P><br />
How a food is processed, prepared or cooked is a key element in the GL of a food and therefore the effect it will have on your blood sugar. If you eat spaghetti if example your blood sugar levels and your insulin levels will rise quite gently until the body produces insulin and then they drop. However if you eat white bread they will rise twice as high and then drops down much lower. It is the peaks that damage your arteries making them less responsive to insulin and the troughs that leave you tired and sleepy and craving carbohydrates and or stimulants. It is strange that two foods made of roughly the same flour can have such different effects on the body. This is probably due to the fact that bread is cooked for longer than spaghetti. Needless to say eating white bread will do nothing to help you to lose weight<br />
<P><br />
The Glycemic Index the levels to which different foods raise your blood sugar compared with the effect of pure glucose. The more complex the carbohydrate, the lower the GI, as it will take longer for the sugar to be broken down and released into the blood stream . For example apples and oats are slow releasing and raisins and puffed rice cereal are fast releasing. So the foods you choose to help you to lose weight should be from the Low Glycemic Index foods<br />

should drink about half their body weight of water in ounces daily. By water, he means water, not coffee, tea or any other beverage, and certainly not diet coke. If exercise is part of your program, more water is necessary to replace water loss from sweat. It is crucial to drink water before, during and after exercise to keep energy levels high and aid in recovery.<br />

Here are a few tips as to why we need to drink more water to lose weight:<br />

* Water helps suppress your appetite: How many times have you felt hungry and grabbed for a snack? Your body often confuses the desire to eat with the need for water. You might not be hungry might just be dehydrated. Some people only drink water when they feel thirsty. If you wait until thirst sets in, you are probably already dehydrated. * Water flushes toxins from your body: Drinking water helps to detoxifiy the liver and kidneys and carries waste away from the body.<br />

If you make sure you are drinking enough water the body will start recognize it has a continuous supply and will stop hanging onto every drop. A diet that is high in sodium will also cause water retention. Keep your sodium to an acceptable level and then drink more water to help flush the excess sodium through your kidneys.<br />

* If you keep your body optimally hydrated you will find that it enhances your physical performance, helps digestion, helps you to lose weight, maintains the balance of electrolytes and transports nutrients.<br />

Other harmful side effects such as tightness in the chest and urinary tract problems and fatal such as a stroke and an overdose of the diet pills can cause tremors, confusion, hallucinations, shallow breathing, renal failure even heart attack and convulsions.<br />

I am about to share an article I found while cruising the Internet. It is written by USA Today. I was almost physically ill when I read it. It made me realize what an idiot I have been for almost 50 years of trying to lose weight. I have spent a small fortune on gyms, weight watcher meetings ,multiple types of weight loss diet plan, keeping various sizes of clothing available at all times, and all this time, all I had to do was write down what I was eating!<br />
<P><br />
According to this USA Today article, dieters who write down everything they eat each day lose twice as much weight as those who don&#8217;t and this is based on one of the largest weight-loss studies ever conducted. This confirms the importance of keeping a food diary — advice that nutritionists and weight loss programs have pushed for years. I do seem to remember being told to do this, but it flew right over my head.<br />
<P><br />
Scientists at four clinical research centers recruited 1,685 overweight or obese adults who weighed an average 212 pounds. Forty-four percent were African Americans.<br />
<P><br />
The participants were offered 20 weekly group sessions led by nutritionists and behavior counselors and encouraged to try to lose at least 9 pounds in six months. They were told to consume about 500 fewer calories a day, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, do about 180 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity a week, and keep daily food and exercise records. This was the only weight loss regime they had to perform. These <A HREF="http://healthy-weight-loss-programs.com/10/weight-loss-tips-2/">weight loss tips</A> will help with your weight loss goal.<br />
<P><br />
After 6 months, they found out that the ones who wrote down what they ate every day lost twice as much weight as the ones who didn&#8217;t. I am beside myself with anger. You mean to tell me I could be a size 8 instead of a size 16 if I had only written down what I was eating all these years. I figure the physical activity alone of writing all that down ought to amount to a few pounds of weight loss.<br />

Well, there you have it. The secret to weight loss has been found. Get those pencils out girls and start writing it all down and double your weight loss.<br />

I recently read a very interesting article that suggested that obesity was &#8220;socially contagious&#8221; Apparently a new study recently published in the New England Journal of Medicine concluded that if one sibling is obese, the chances of another sibling becoming obese increases by 40% (55% amongst siblings of the same gender). Likewise if one spouse becomes obese the likelihood of the other spouse becoming obese is increased by 37%. In mutual friends the risk increased by 171%. The researchers of the study believe that it should be possible to harness the same force to slow the spread of obesity.<br />

Weight loss and fitness clubs are not new to us. Weight Watchers and Slimming World being two that have been successfully helping individuals with their weight loss for many years utilizing the power of social support.<br />
<P><br />
Most people who are striving to lose weight will be aware that there are some essential elements that are crucial to a successful weight loss campaign. Good nutrition is vital as is the addition of resistance and cardio training. More recently it has been agreed that another important element is mental attitude and the need to be positive. Now we can add another dimension to a successful weight loss regime, that of social support.<br />

Although slimming clubs are ideal for some people, they are not everyone&#8217;s idea of fun and many would be slimmers would rather follow their weight loss regime in the privacy of their own homes. larger portion sizes, or increasing inactivity that are causing more teens to become overweight.</p>

The big concern is more on how to find the motivation to eat healthier and exercise regularly. This is probably the most difficult part of trying to lose weight. Unhealthy foods or snacks should not be offered as an option for kids who don&#8217;t want to eat healthy.<br />

Schools can also increase the number of informal sports that kids can play.<br />

To make matters worse, often this fast weight loss is actually excess water and not excess fat that is being lost.<br />

I am sure you can see the problem with this being that any water that is lost can be replaced which is obviously disheartening for anyone that thinks they have lost weight. Water loss on a large scale can also dehydrate the body and science tells that you can only lose on average two pounds of excess fat per week.<br />

A recent addition to the weight loss product market place has been the <A HREF="http://healthy-weight-loss-programs.com/12/fast-weight-loss/">fast weight loss</A> soap which apparently emulsifies the body fat whilst it is being rubbed into the body during a bath and it only contains herbs and seaweed. So far the only results that have been seen from its use have been an improvement in the user&#8217;s skin.<br />
<P><br />
Sometimes it feels as if there is a new <B>fast weight loss</B> product every week and just to add to the list is a product that promises to speed up a person&#8217;s metabolism and suppress the hunger desire all at the same time. More than this, the manufacturer also claims that helps with the body&#8217;s self healing mechanism and reduces some pains but is sounds more like a fashion accessory.<br />
<P><br />
Apparently the magnetism in the earrings helps to keep the body&#8217;s own magnetic field synchronized and so the other benefits should be expected. To date, no evidence to support this has been submitted to any health or medical journals despite a number of press releases making these bold claims.<br />
<P><br />
You can believe these claims if you want but inside you know that things that aren&#8217;t worked for do not last. If you want a fast weight loss program that will work, you will need to find a well balanced diet that suits you, one you can stick to and weight loss will happen just as fast as you want it to.<br />
