Weight Loss Pills and Drugs
The problems with obesity are many and because our overweight society is aging, we are seeing an increase in physical problems associated with obesity. As the obese begin to age, there appear many aches and pains plus even more physical abnormalities that are associated with the damage done to the body by obesity. Because the obese are suffering more pain with age, we see the prescribing of Lortab and other weight loss pills increasing and the side effects of this increasingly become apparent. Lortab is one of the prescribed medications for many of these aches and pains. One of the side-effects I experienced while taking lortab was weight loss. Lortab weight loss may appear at first to be a good thing, but the associated addictions that are very possible with lortab makes it an extremely dangerous way to lose weight.
Lortab is a narcotic analgesic containing hydrocodone and acetaminophen. It is habit forming, and you can become physically and/or psychologically dependent on this medication. Lortab is available in tablet, capsule, and liquid form; and when prescribed is taken every 4-6 hours by mouth. The hydrocodone found in Lortab can lead to addiction if abused or overused like all weight loss pills and drugs. Lortab is a combination of Hydrocodone barbituate and Acetaminophen. Lortab, when used medicinally is given by mouth either in tablet or liquid form.
Lortab is a combination drug, with a narcotic painkiller which is also a cough reliever called Hydrocodone barbituate, and a non-narcotic painkiller called Acetaminophen. It is a very commonly prescribed drug given to ease moderate to moderately severe pain, mainly after some kind of surgery, for people with arthritis or suffering from sports relate injuries and many types of muscular pain.
Drug addiction involves compulsively seeking to use a substance, regardless of the potentially negative social, psychological and physical consequences. Certain drugs, such as narcotics and cocaine, are more likely to cause physical dependence than are other drugs. Drugs also reduce a person’s level of consciousness, harming the ability to think or be fully aware of present surroundings. Because you are in a semi- conscious state while on this medication, you will not be hungry and the natural effect of not eating is weight loss, thus the reason why it is called lortab weight loss pills.
If one is on this drug for a period of time, the body adjusts and you lose the semi-conscious state, and will feel a euphoria. This very pleasant feeling is why Lortab is so addictive. Once the realization of lortab weight loss occurs, you also have the psychological potential for addiction. Drug addiction involves compulsively seeking to use a substance, regardless of the potentially negative social, psychological and physical consequences. This becomes true especially if you have struggled with your weight for years and suddenly find it is easy to drop the weight with the use of the drug.
Lortab weight loss pills is not worth the price you will have to pay for the addiction. There is physical pain associated with the withdrawals from the drug. If you find yourself addicted to Hydrocodone or Lortab, seek professional help to regain control of your life. There are many other avenues to healthy weight loss that does not involve losing control of your life and suffering the ravages of drug addiction.
