For anyone who has tried to stick to a weight loss diet you know how hard it can be. Dieting takes some dedication and stickability. Sometimes we can end up back where we started or worst still even putting on a few more pounds. Here are some suggestions to help you to lose weight without losing interest in your goal for weight loss.
1) Eliminating all the foods you love can be difficult. It would help if you try to eat lower calorie versions of them. Go for the low fat and low sugar versions and make sure the low fat version isn’t loaded with sugar. You also need to make sure that the low sugar version hasn’t had the sugar replaced with artificial sweeteners because this could be worse if weight loss is your ultimate goal.
2) If you are eating too much or your portion sizes are huge,that can be a problem. The larger the portions the more calories you are consuming and more calories means the likelihood of a few extra pounds evry so often. Try putting your food on a smaller plate and see if that works.
3) You should never think of exercise as being exercise or a job to do. Instead, look at it in a different way. For example, you could go swimming or walking with a friend and think of it as just a pastime instead a way of achieving weight loss
4) Don’t let weight loss diets make you feel like you are denying yourself. Instead of thinking this way add new foods to your diet such as interesting fruits and vegetables. When people think of diets they think of having to go without, but, in this case you are adding instead of taking away.
5) If you have a probem with exercise or just don’t like it, then just walk whenever you can. Walking is a great form of exercise and many people don’t class it as exercise. You can also try to go up and down stairs more often or maybe get outside and do some gardening. Your weight loss will be enhanced when you embark on some exercises so don’t ignore this important part of your regime. Walking is such an easy and natural thing to do
6) Before eating your main meal, try to drink one or two glasses of water at least 25 minutes before eating. This will make you feel full and therefore you will eat less.
Most important, be patient when it comes to achieving your weight loss goal. Don’t try to lose too much weight all at once and realize that once you have lost the weight you will have to keep up with your healthier lifestyle to ensure you don’t gain weight again and start all over.
